MASAMI-CHIC
is operated by Masami Rung,
a professional hair & make-up artist since 1980. Born
and raised in Japan, Masami studied her craft at the Hollywood
Beauty College in Tokyo, Japan. Soon after graduating
from beauty college she worked with the make-up artist agency
Top Knot for three years. Afterward she began
freelancing for many prestigious companies in Japan such as the
commercial film companies Matsushita, Nissan,
and Kao Cosmetics; catalogs for Christian
Dior, Avon, SAS Scuba Gear,
Mitsukoshi and Kintetsu Department Stores;
photo ads for magazines An An, Fashion
News, With and Classy;
fashion shows for Norma Kamali,
Perry Ellis, Valentino Garavani,
Krizia, Sonia Rykiel, Missoni,
Ralph Lauren and Kenzo. In the
U.S., where she presently lives and works, she has created make-up
and hair for catalogs such as I.N. Express, Lapine,
Ellesse and Mervyns,
Balloon Magazine as well as advertisements for Hokkaido
Bank and Kintestsu Tourist. Since 1996
she has also been doing make-up and hair for weddings.
Masami always
strives to create a sophisticated, pollished, and chic look for
women. She uses graduated colors that match a woman's particular
skin tone so that the make-up appears natural and not overly applied.
Her hair-styling technique use women's own hair character to search
and discover various styles and arrangements.
